TheTradeJournal is a web-based trade journaling platform that allows users to log, track, and analyze their trading activity across various asset classes. The Service includes features such as trade logging, performance analytics, backtesting tools, daily reviews, and subscription-based premium features.

3. User Accounts

To use the Service, you must create an account by providing a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription & Payments

TheTradeJournal offers both free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the Stripe billing portal. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to the Service, including trade data, notes, screenshots, and reviews. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We will not sell, share, or use your trading data for any purpose other than delivering the Service.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Upload malicious files or code
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Use automated tools to scrape or access the Service

7. Not Financial Advice

TheTradeJournal is a record-keeping and self-analysis tool. It is not a financial advisor, broker-dealer, investment advisor, or trading signal provider. Nothing contained in the Service — including analytics, performance reports, consistency scores, AI-generated coaching insights, recommendations, or any other content — constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

All trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every individual. Past performance, as displayed in the Service, is not indicative of future results. You are solely responsible for evaluating the merits and risks of your own trading decisions. You should consult with a qualified financial advisor before making any investment or trading decisions.

TheTradeJournal does not endorse, recommend, or promote any particular security, asset, strategy, or course of action. Any references to specific instruments, strategies, or market conditions within the Service are for informational and educational purposes only.

8. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Certain features of the Service use artificial intelligence (AI) to generate performance analysis, trading recommendations, consistency evaluations, and coaching insights. This AI-generated content is produced automatically based on your self-reported trading data and should be treated as informational and educational only.

AI-generated analysis may contain inaccuracies, errors, or incomplete interpretations. TheTradeJournal makes no guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or suitability of any AI-generated content. You should independently verify any AI-generated insights before acting on them.

AI outputs do not account for your full financial situation, risk tolerance, investment objectives, or personal circumstances. Never rely solely on AI-generated content for trading or investment decisions.

9. Data Accuracy & User Responsibility

All analytics, performance metrics, consistency scores, and reports generated by the Service are calculated based on data you manually enter. TheTradeJournal does not connect to brokerage accounts, verify trade executions, or independently confirm any data you submit.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the data you input. TheTradeJournal makes no warranties regarding the accuracy of any calculations, statistics, or analyses derived from user-submitted data. Errors in data entry will result in inaccurate analytics and reports.

10. Assumption of Risk

By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that: (a) trading in financial markets involves substantial risk of loss; (b) you are solely responsible for your own trading decisions and outcomes; (c) the Service is a journaling and analysis tool and does not guarantee any trading results; (d) no information provided by the Service should be construed as a promise or guarantee of profit; and (e) you will not hold TheTradeJournal liable for any trading losses incurred while using the Service.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TheTradeJournal and its operators, affiliates, officers, directors, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to trading losses, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of business opportunities, or any damages resulting from reliance on content, analytics, AI-generated recommendations, or any other information provided through the Service.

13. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in conduct that we determine is harmful to the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page.
